One in every four children in our community struggles with hunger issues. That’s why Alliance Insurance Services (AIS) is sponsoring a special food drive from now until August 1st.
The public is encouraged to drop off nonperishable food items to any Alliance Insurance Services location or at the WXLVabc45 studios.
On June 10th, Alliance Insurance Services will officially celebrate our eleventh year in business, and we couldn’t have made it without the support of thousands of Piedmont North Carolina families who have trusted us to insure and protect their lives and property. It’s a responsibility we haven’t taken lightly, and we thank you for your support and confidence.
This year we want to celebrate our anniversary in a very special way, by enlisting your help in the fight against childhood hunger. Over the next three months, Alliance Insurance and our media partners, ABC45 and MY48, will be hosting a food drive to collect non-perishable food items, and donating them to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina.
Hunger is a serious problem in our area, affecting 1 in every 4 children. Summer is even worse because these students will not be receiving school lunches. We urge you to join us in this food drive and help us try to make sure that no child ever goes hungry.
Any time after June 15th cans of food can be dropped off at any of our three Alliance Insurance Services offices, or at the ABC45 studios at 3500 Myer Lee Drive in Winston-Salem, Cash donations will be welcome too.
Thank you for placing your confidence in Alliance Insurance Services, and thank you for your help in fighting childhood hunger. To learn more about how you can help, visit www.hungernwnc.org.
